Pannawonica Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service
Located in the town of Pannawonica, the Pannawonica Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service provide fire and rescue capabilities to the town site and surrounding areas in the Shire of Ashburton and Shire of Roebourne. The VFRS formed in 2010 and was made up of existing Emergency Response Team members from the Pannawonica mine site (Rio Tinto) and also local members of the community. Robe Valley Operations (Rio Tinto) has funded the brigade to date and the brigade would not be where it is today without the support from the management team.
